| Does anyone own these games? They were all developed by Taito in the arcade, but as said in the Wii thread they were all ported to various systems by Wolfteam. I own both Revenge of the Ninja and Time Gal. Revenge of the Ninja I have owned for years and love it, but I just got Time Gal yesterday I gotta say, it's really cool, but man it is tough. It doesn't give you as much time to respond as Revenge of the Ninja does, even on "Easy". Also to make things even tougher, sometimes the scenes will be flipped thus making the screen and the controlls the opposite of what they were. I really like the anime style, but I think as far as gameplay is concerned, I like Revenge of the Ninja better... At least so far... All I need now is Road Avenger. I always heard that was the best of these 3 games. It also has a really catchy opening song. So what do you all think about these games? | |

| Ah yes. These games follow suit of another game in particular: Dragon's Lair for the Sega CD (TCD and PC, too!). Visually-stunning (often comical) adventure games that test reflexes, oddly enough all created by Wolfteam (although unsure about Dragon's Lair). I find them appealing since its like making a classic-style anime (nothing like the modern anime we see) with pre-rendered cutscenes that could either spell a masterpiece story or a hilarious flop.
I find the death sequences in Dragon's Lair to be the best, so far.

| I own all three of those games for the Sega CD. I thought they were great games. Anyway, there is a good website called Dragon's Lair Project that has info and media on those games, as well as other Dragon's Lair-type games. Here are the info pages for Road Blaster (Road Avenger), Time Gal, and Ninja Hayate (Revenge of the Ninja). Road AvengerTime GalRevenge of the NinjaAnd for an added bonus, I know there is a brief mention on the website Hardcore Gaming 101 on Ninja Hayate/Revenge of the Ninja in their Legend of Kage article. Just scroll down to the bottom to find it.

| Time Gal and Road Avengers take me back. I played those for a brief period of time in the summer of 93 (I think). I still remembered what the opening song to Road Avengers sounded like, but that's about it. Time Gal, on the other hand, was frustrating for me as I had worse reflexes than I do now.
I also enjoyed the Legend of Kage (and still do). It was even inspiration for me to make Ninja Go Squishy. XD

| I don't believe that I ever played Legend of Kage. Although the character design is quite similar to Revenge of the Ninja. Looks like i'm gonna have to hunt that game down. | |
