NEW DESIGN!!

took about a week of continous work, finally I completed the new design for the site.
I felt tired while working on it, but now seeing the design, i feel so relieved

I chose light colors instead of the previous dark colors because it's a Valis site. Valis and our heroines supoose to present the light/good-side, right

so what do you think of it?

Though, I must recommend not viewing this page on Internet Explorer. It seems as if there's a lot of distracting excess white space.

Rather blinding with so much white space, but overall not bad! Mix it with black background and white text and this design could be a huge winner!

my opinion about the design: It's so smooth and quiet, but it's very flashy using white background, it exhausts the eyes but I like the overall, each part of the design fits with the others, unlike the previous desing

the previous design was horrible, except that it uses dark background, so it was easier for the eyes

personly, I prefer dark background and light text. anyway, to say it again, I used (White+Blue+Orange) as main colors because they are the most close to our Valis and to represent it the way it should look like.

in other words, anyone visits the site recognizes directly that this is a Valis site, because it gives that feeling <--- unlike my site (Evil Reiko's Homepage), it represents Valis but it's red blood and black, while Valis is not like that , anyway, about Evil Reiko's Homepage, it's more specific about representing Reiko herself, that's why it looks like that

maybe you're right, but when it's about a web design, each part should complete the other. if we used black background and white text, the blue headers and flashy golden colors won't be attractive as they are now. Also the logo image and Who's online image will lose their great effect.

I know you're kidding, but they are completely different. your site is more of purple and light-gray, while here now is pure-white, blue and golden

I must say that this design is good it will look like an ordinary forum board. The background can use a little image or a color that can blend within the others. Not the same color!

I do prefer lighter colors, but the site does look a bit stagnant with the white background. I definitely recommend sticking with a really light background color, but I think that the theme should include more vibrant colors. I do like the blue and orange that're used. The header graphic is still oversized, in my opinion, and should be smaller.

I'm still tweaking my own site's color scheme here and there. Most people tend to be a bit overwhelmed by how colorful it is, but I'd say that mine's quite refreshing, as there are too many sites that rely on neutral colors that really fail to excite.

Oh, and the buttons with the black backgrounds and blue text really, really need to be changed. They clash with everything else, as do the scrollbars.

Speaking ot which i need to make a post of Valis on youtube like a Banner post. Can anyone help?

I've noticed. But do you have any plans for the bit of blank space between the right part of the image and the blue line on the left side, where the "Valis" in gold katakana is? Been kinda distracting...

I placed that blank space on purpose

in Grahpic Designing, this space is called as "Less is More" Technique, and sometimes called as "Breathing Room"
