To note, most of the characters besides Yuko, Reiko, and the Kings (Rogles, Megas, Glames, Gallagher, and Asfal) have little or no personality at all, except what's described in the instructions, in the most common versions of the game (Genesis, SNES). Turbo Duo showed a LOT more in comparison, but they're also rarer due to the lack of popularity of the NEC consoles. The more obscure the system, the more it reveals of the Valis world, it seems. I would never have known that Yuko actually watched her mother being killed by Megas if I hadn't heard about the Japan-only computer games, and without the recent post of the cutscene where she removes her armor, I would never have known that she had sunk into such despair. Those games also gave everything more personality and purpose. The generals had personality and weren't just followers of their leaders.

I know it's tl;dr, but to make a more simplified point, people tend to see Valna as a very two-dimensional character - a princess who CAN fight, but not well. They don't know anything about her as a leader, as a person, or anything. They just know she helps Yuko and is her twin sister.

Hmm...this gives me incentive to draw as much information as I can regarding all the characters and create a BIOS topic solely for the use of profiling all the major characters in the Valis universe.

I didn't use any reference for the body armor.

It kind of looks more like Lena than Yuko. Mainly reminds me of Lena's armor that she gets after she gains the Valis sword. The pic is pretty cool looking, though.

You also have to realize that the only version of Valis II I've played is Syd of Valis. Lol Hence, I only knew that Valia was killed, not how or exactly by whom.

And to find a thread with two of my Cham (or Cham-related) pics in it too, fairly recently. ^^

Yeah, the first and last (non-Cham) are some of my oldies on DA. I won't go into go into the Mydia-Ghaleon-Cham thing, as it was part of, yes, a convoluted work of fan fiction (read: crossover, which people generally hate), but it did have some link between the Valis and Lunar series (moreso the elves/beast-race of each).

I have most of the old pages backed up somewhere here, and of course all the fiction chapters fortunately. I guess I'll have to recreate the thing elsewhere.
