| A friend of a friend did this for me. I am told that she knows quite a bit of Japanese so I'm posting this translation up, something we have been waiting for quite a few years.
Transliteration & English translation: Amanda Stair
Miss Blue ni Hohoemi o (A Smile for Miss Blue)
Wasurenai ano toki no amaoto mo (I will never forget that time, on that rainy day) Mitsumeru atsui anata no sono hitomi o (when I gazed into those burning eyes of yours) Hoozue o tsuki-nagara nagameru no (chin in hand, while glancing at the moon) Hitokage no nai ameagari no seaside (on the seaside after the rain, with no one else around) Kami o suite oyogu kaze wa (I let down my hair, and the swimming breeze) Sorami ni uta anata ni nite setsunai ne (was frightening, reminding me of the song you were deaf to) Gyutto me o tojita (I squeezed my eyes shut)
Miss Blue Omoide wa itsumo (Miss Blue – Memories have always…) Miss Blue Kirameku jewelry (Miss Blue -- …been like sparkling jewelry) Koboreru jikan no suna o ima wa dakishimeteiru (I’m now holding on tight to the overflowing sands of time)
Itsu made mo omoide ni ikiteyuku (If the memories that live on forever only showed up tomorrow) Ashita nara kitto shiawase wa todokanai (I would surely never reach happiness) Sunahama o yukkuri to arukidasu (I begin to walk slowly along the seashore) Hadashi no mama de kinoo yori mo jiyuu ni (Feeling freedom on my bare skin moreso than yesterday) Mune no oku de kagayaiteru (The all-too-vivid scene is shining) Azayaka-sugiru scene wa sono mama dakedo (just like this in the depths of my heart) Ima wa ii no (but is it okay if it does so now?)
Miss Blue Omoide wa itsumo (Miss Blue – Memories have always…) Miss Blue Kirameku jewelry (Miss Blue -- …been like sparkling jewelry) Koboreru jikan no suna o ima wa dakishimeteru (I’m now holding on tight to the overflowing sands of time)
Miss Blue Omoide wa itsumo (Miss Blue – Memories have always…) Miss Blue Kirameku jewelry (Miss Blue -- …been like sparkling jewelry) Koboreru jikan no suna o ima wa dakishimeteite (Now hold on tight to the overflowing sands of time)

| I never knew that Miss Blue had lyrics! (Then again, I've mainly played & finished the Genesis/Mega Drive version of Valis, I haven't really played the PC Engine Version.) Anyway, thank you for posting the translated lyrics. | |

| It translated into English from Japanese. I think that it turned into as near translation as possible although this translation may differ in a meaning in English. However, I am tired only with translation of the first half.
Wasurenai ano toki no amaoto o (I will never forget the sound of the rain of that day.) Mitsumeru atsui anata no sono hitomi o (She was staring at the rain.) Hoozue o tsuki-nagara nagameru no (I was looking at her, attaching my cheek on hands.) Hitokage no nai ameagari no seaside (Nobody is around the seaside after the rain now.) Kami o suite oyogu kaze wa (The sea breeze to blow flutters hair.) Sorami ni uta anata ni nite setsunai ne (The tone of the sad wind makes me remember her. I can't stop thinking of her and I feel it sad hopelessly.) Gyutto me o tojita (I close my eyes strongly out of sadness.) [Miss Blue]=(Her of melancholy blue hair.) Omoide wa itsumo Kirameku jewelry (Recollections are always shining beautifully like jewelry.) Koboreru jikan no suna o ima wa dakishimeteiru (The memories are like the sand which falls out of a hand. Although it cannot stop that sand falls from my palm, I think that I do not want to still forget the memories.) ----------------------- I will never forget the sound of the rain of that day. She was staring at the rain. I was looking at her, attaching my cheek on hands. Nobody is around the seaside after the rain now. The sea breeze to blow flutters hair. The tone of the sad wind makes me remember her. I can't stop thinking of her and I feel it sad hopelessly. I close my eyes strongly out of sadness. | That sounds like a very different translation. Would you say the song is about Reiko then?

It does sound like it's about but isn't the title is "Miss Blue"? the title sounds like it's about

| This is a song of Yuko who thinks of Reiko.
She is blue hair. In addition to this, a word called [blue] means being melancholy or hopelessly in Japanese. She is feeling sad hopelessly.
[She is]=Miss [blue hair]=Bule [She is]=Miss [feeling sad hopelessly]=Blue
I think that it is a play on words using English in Japanese.

I think that it is a play on words using English in Japanese. Really? Well, I got to tell my friend about it. I really want to get this translation nailed down since it is been only 5 years since I wanted to know what it is about. I would study Japanese but well, I have no talent for languages.
