As for Catch.. well.. you are really talnet. Just twist your ideas little bit and draw little more, you almost don't have a gallery (I guess it's me who doesn't have a gallery )

I used to have an okay gallery, but, I left. When I did that, I removed all my art, because you can't delete the profile once you've created it. But, yeah, eventually, I came back.

Yeah, I don't have a scanner, plus my drawing output has been rather low for the last few months.

I need some inspiration...and a scanner...and some art programs.

scanners are cheap (I don't really know, but at least, they are cheap in my country)

programs, what else than photoshop, MSPaint, and maybe Flash, do you need? any of the three is enough (maybe MSPaint is not that useful, but still you can draw something with it ).

for example, if you noticed the current 4 pictures in my account in deviantart, the 4 of them are drawn by MSPaint , by pixels

anyway, I think you only need the inspiration

Scanners aren't super expensive here, I've just been putting off because things are always coming up.

I can't really draw something serious with mouse on MS Paint. If anything, when I used to have Painter 7 (a really awesome program, IMHO) I was doing some mouse drawings with it...but, yeah, they weren't all that good, so, I stopped focusing on them.

Oh, and EvilReiko, your art style is pretty awesome!

But, I think the one piece of equipment that I sorely need to get my hands on is this laptop, in which you can flip the screen around and you can use light pens to draw/write on the screen. My friend has one and I did a 10-minute pic. I was instantly hooked. I'm so going to try and scrap cash for one of those...

EDIT: It's called a Tablet PC. I just found out.

But, it's not really necessary, a good artist can draw in all cases and situations

Yeah. For the most part, I just draw stuff and accidentally create characters.

And I rarely do fanart...the only recent ones I've done were Yoh from Shaman King and L from Death Note.

But, yeah, I've been meaning to do some Valis Fanart...now with the scanner, I feel motivated.

I don't have a deviantart, I did some time ago and I was banned and I doubt I'll ever go back. But anyways, about the tablet pc thing, they are great but there's other ways to go. If you want something practical maybe go for a regular tablet, they aren't screens but they are pads and a pen device you can draw on the computer with. I have one of these although it could be better. The more expensive the better they are. Anyways, I feel like doing some Valis fan art. I don't think I have done so since the actual games came out, and my drawings used to suck terribly back then. Now they're just slightly better.

No not for copyright, it was for content, so they say. But that was years ago, I think it was a completely different deviantart back then to what it is now, but I still don't think I'd ever go back. But for example, that so called inapproriate content, now I see stuff much worse than that there and nobody gets banned.

Well, DA's not super great. You will never be noticed unless you do nothing but fan art (I've been a member since 2004 and recently hit 2000 views). I've seen so many insane artists not be recognized for their own creativity, but, because they're drawing characters from (insert current popular anime/cartoon here).

It's because dA's staff are all a bunch of self-serving elitists that think they're the greatest artists in the world. So given they see any content better than theirs, you're instantly banned. =P

Of course, that's an extremist, biased, uneducated, and inexperienced opinion. But that's just what I've gathered from others who've been to dA.

Well, I do have a DeviantArt account, although I've been mainly using it so far to comment on a friend's art. I haven't posted any pics I've drawn since #1: I've been too lazy to scan 'em, and #2: They probably aren't good anyway.

I seriously doubt you have, I've only posted two fanfics, and it's random humor, of the anime Azumanga Daioh. The other is a somewhat perverted humorous Tenchi Muyo poem. I'm not very popular, since my posted work is very random....Not everyone likes my brand of randomosity, which is sometimes borderline insanity....XD However, my unposted and unfinished and unstarted works are actually nice. Sadly, on my first fanfic attempt, I had a great plot, and failed to stick to it...Miserably. For an idea on how different the original plot was to what I wrote, compare the book Blood and Chocolate to the movie. Completely. Utterly. NOTHING LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. Yeah, no more wishing from me for things to turn into a movie....And so many like that movie and are too lazy to read the book which is soooo much better. Let's not even go there on unfaithful movies...(coughDBZcough) XD
