| Always loved Doom 1 and 2, Duke 3D, Wolfenstein 3D, and Rise of the Triad. Favorite games were probably Descent I and ][. Also Powerslave on the Saturn was friggen awesome! | |

| Okay, so I'm not too much of an FPS player, but Descent for the Playststion is actually a pretty fun game, as well as a decent PC to Console conversion (some PC purists may argue though). Other honorable mentions include Wolfenstein 3d and Spear of Destiny, Quake II (my first FPS), and I guess Doom (I'm still stuck with the freeware version, though). Though, my most favorite would have to be Shogo: Mobile Armor Division for the PC. It's one of the only FPS games I've played extensively. Plus, giant robot carnage FTW, dood. | |

| I'm not too big on the genre, but, I too did enjoy Duke Nukem 3D and Wolfenstein 3D when I played them.
I put in a lot of time into Perfect Dark.

| I also loved Doom so much.... I used to play screaming and jumping when demons attacked me and heared their growls so near to me... that was a great game... I remember myself shouting at them: "Come and get me if you can!! Eat this, you freak !!!! " ok... well... do you consider Halo to be old enough??? after all, nowadays it seems old-fashion... after watching that movie: "Black Hawk Down"... my cousin invited me to play Halo to his house... my life changed that day, and a month after I bought my Xbox to play that game... | |

| DOOM, Duke Nukem 3D, Wolfenstein 3D, and Dark Forces... all four were awesome. Heck, I have the revamped DOOM for the computers today (They'll need to re-revamp for 64-bit machines, though), the mod Aeons of Death, DOOM for PS1, and DOOM for 360. DOOM just rules!
Shooters today tend to be about rocket launchers and effects. DOOM made you go blazing fast on the keyboard just to stay alive, even with a BFG.

| Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem. God they all kicked ass and took names! The FPSs of today just don't have the same feeling they had. | |

| I'm actually a fairly big fan of old-school FPS, though it's a shame no one has mentioned the Marathon series. It has gone freeware, so it's worth checking out for those who missed it the first time around. | |
