I agree...
most people don't enjoy this day at all, because they have to waste their money... and the worst part, is that salesmen rise the prices!!!!
I mean, it is ok if you want to give a present to your special one... but if it's because you HAVE to DO IT ... then there's no meaning at all...
you want to buy a flower for your lady... and it costs 3 times the normal price!!! and if you don't buy it, she (or he) will hate you!!!

BTW, you forgot to mention that some salesmen and companies advertise that they have discounts/sales in some of those days, but instead, they actually rised the prices over the normal prices

I don't know and I really don't care (in regards to it being cooked up to sell stuff).
Valentine's day is the most obnoxious day of the year for me.
