Wolfteam Character on the Wii?!

From what I just read on Wikipedia (unreliable, sure, but this is good speculation), a certain "Reika Kirishima" from Time Gal by Taito (but developed by our beloved Wolfteam) is set to make an appearance as a playable character on Castle of Shikigami 3 on the Wii slated for a US release on the 29th.

Now this is striking news especially for me considering that I own and love Castle Shikigami 2 for PS2 and never thought I'd see more than that State-side. But to have a Wolfteam character in the game as a playable character - aside from the obvious namedropping of Reiko of Valis fame - is more than enough to make me squeal like a rabid fanboy. I don't own a Wii, unfortunately, but my best friend does and he works at the game retailer I used to work for. :3 So now I'll just have to title-drop him and make him play it (and hope they didn't mess up the translation this time). XD

Reika "Kirishima", ok, the girl from Time Gal names Reika, but the Kirishima last name is for Reiko from Valis, or not? somebody explain me.

I did state that the original game was published by Taito, so that would mean actually using 's likeness would infringe on copyrights. However, Wolfteam did develop Time Gal, and with names so close to each other, it would be ignorant to say that there isn't a possibility for a coincidental connection between the two.

I basically meant that since the names are so close, any Valis person can intentionally namedrop Reiko in a conversation about CS3 and discuss how the same development team was involved in making both characters. At any rate, it's an easy way for us to garner more Valis fans. :3 And that's something I'd more than love to do (aside from getting ahold of Time Gal and playing it myself).

Well, Taito developed the original arcade version of Time Gal. Wolf Team, however, released the console version (or at least, the Sega/Mega CD version of it, as far as I know) of the game. Apparently, the main character of Time Gal (Reika) is going to appear in the Wii version of Castle of Shikigami 3, although redesigned.

I remember her she was also my fantasy Gal before

Didn't pay attention to the name while I was playing the game...and most of the time I was using Reika Kirishima too...what a shame...

btw this game is really too hard for me...

Just like every Laserdisc games Like RoadBlasters(a.k.a.Road Avenger) Stahl,Badlands(Western game by konami What is is with konami and westerns?) Space Ace,The Infamous Dragons Lair,Mad Dog MCree, Those other ones.

It's all about memorization and timing and stuff. I remember how some of the "deaths" were actually just things like her getting her panties chewed out by a dinosaur.

I'm probably going to end up getting CoSIII seeing as how I've been hooked to Bullet Hell shmups lately.

I love shmups i own so many, i can't wait for CoSIII i own the first two so i gotta get the new one. Its nice to see it coming out for the Wii so the system can get a little more varity with its games.

Was there a US release for the first one that didn't have anything removed? I have the second one and I'm dying for some back story, but from what I've heard, Mobile Light Force 2 cut out most, if not all, of the story and just made it a very primitive shmup. =/

I say that game i thinnk either it was from the Ps1 or the Ps2 i wante to play that game.

No there was no US release, Mobile Light Force 2 is what i was talking about sorry i should have been more clear but i am planning to buy an import of the first. ( i can't stand the cover of )

Everyone knows that the only characters that are revived are Marvel characters.

Yeah, Reika mentions how she used to be in posters in arcades when you play as her in the story mode.

I kinda chuckle every time I hear that.

I remember that.

I certainly like playing as Reika. I also like the storylines she has with some of the characters in the one mode where you can switch between 2 characters.

I use Kohtaro/Sayu and Mihee in addition to Reika. I still haven't beaten the game because I suck.

Also, no one ever wants to play these kinds of games with me.
