Well...I remeber ZOL did drew hentai stuff before and from what I saw from that comic magazine, this cover won't surprise me much...maybe it's still better than a fully naked yuko...MAYBE...

oh, the previous cover showed Yuko and Reiko normally, but the content inside had some sexual images..

Eh, honestly, he has it right there. He simply didn't dodge anything to make the fight just go short. Death Flash (in the Genesis version anyway) is cast based on Reiko's remaining life, not time-based. She has very little HP left when she goes to cast it, so I'm sure the fast base arrow weapon can KO her before she gets the cast off...not so sure a single bullet or laser is fast enough though.

Honestly the real danger in Death Flash is NOT burning Reiko down from close range when you see her start.

I agree with you, uses her Death Flash once based on her HP.

I tried before to defeat her without dodging, and focusing only attacking her, and at that time, I had the same weapon fully upgraded! (5 arrows at once! ), but she still killed me! I don't understand

WOW~nice fight...I was never able to beat reiko with arrows, not even with fully powered one

I needed 2 tries to beat reiko. was hardest boss from genesis version of Valis 1(in my opinion),but it was still easy enough to beat her fast and so the other bosses(and Rogles was easiest boss I've killed).

Heh, well, there's two things he does in this video that are probably why he beats her before she gets the DF cast off.

First off, Yuko is on her feet and attacking just as Reiko's cast animation starts. Since the time you have to finish her is so short, you DON'T want to be anywhere in the middle of Yuko's hit 'roll' so you can get as many attacks off asap.

Second is a little trick that works throughout the game. Remember back in Stage 1 where Yuko is merely slashing with Valis before she picks up a sword powerup (no projectiles)? Valis itself ALWAYS does damage if you happen to be close enough to a target. In the vid, he's clearly on top of Reiko as she casts DF, so not only are the arrows hitting, but the sword is ALSO hitting...and pretty fast too. Extra damage. ^^

I remember in the past trying 'No sword projectile' runs of V1. Theoretically, you probably could (without some infinite life cheat) take out most of the bosses with just the sword. Voldes, Rogles part 2 and probably Gyeda (with how bad the hit detection on his Earthquake is) probably can't w/out some sort of cheat...and Reiko probably won't go down before the DF cast. *shrugs*
