- I'm amazed by how much they tried to keep everything the same. For example, monsters often appear in cutscenes as shady dudes with robes, just like in the SNES, even though that was only done in the SNES because of cartridge limitations.
- They really, really, really played up the personalities of all the characters. I love how you can see what they're thinking at different points in time now.

Empire: Total War
- I'm a guy, therefore, I feel good when I see thousands of enemy soldiers cut down by cannon and musket fire. Also, shooting wooden ships so much that they explode is just cool.

Brandish
- I'm only playing it for the sake of completeness. Then, I can say that I've played every single 80's and early-90's video game ever that had anime-looking girls and passable or even good gameplay. Obviously, the first such game I had ever played was Valis.

Yup, it's a PC game. You have to buy it through Steam, though.

Haven't been playing many video games surprisingly lately. However, when I have been playing, I've basically been playing Soul Calibur IV on the XBOX 360. I've also been playing Soul Calibur III on the PS2. One of these days I should post some of my Valis "Create A Characters" from Soul Calibur III (although I haven't made any of them for SCIV yet).

Between leavin and re-entering a forum,I finished 1st Valis for a genesis + finished Soul Blazer trilogy(Soul Blazer,Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma).

I just finished playing Portal, Alien Shooter 2, and Zombie Shooter. All in one day! It's amazing how many games you can go through when you're jobless.

For my next game, I'm trying to decide whether to go back to Empire: Total War, or finish Assassin's Creed.

and I just bought Unreal Tournament 3 when it was on sale on Steam yesterday. Still downloading it now.

Trying out a free RPG dealing with...B-ball.

Barkley Shut-Up and Jam Gaiden.

Give it a shot, it takes less than several hours to complete but the plot is original, to say the least, it isn't a mindless FF clone when it comes to battles and it is a good example of how you should make an RPG.

I think about the anime-style girl heroes of video games of the 80's and 90's (Annet, Yuko, Dela Delon, etc.) and look at the state of video games now.... sigh.... Charlotte from the Castlevania game has no personality or vitality of any kind
