I heard the news virtually as it happened because I was online helping some Japanese people with their English when it struck! It was a big shock...
Seems it's not too big a concern because of how well-prepared Japan is, but regardless how are our forum members in Japan doing? Gorori, SuperDeadite... would be nice to have news from you.

It was rated at 8.9 down there. Very serious situation with tsunami warnings all over the place, even going as far as the US west coast and Hawaii.

So I hear. I had just finished exchanging comments with a Japanese person, when he posted that it had just hit and he was scared. It was a shock to hear about it just as it happened... I checked Google news and there was only one news article posted ten minutes before he said it... Nothing on TV... Took me a few minutes to get all the details as Google news started to fill up with information... Crazy stuff, especially considering how I found out. It really had me on edge for a long time.
