A valis fighting game?

the color scheme of AMU is quite ... citrus fruit like if I can say..
I really like the outcome of those color...
goes right for que AMU character I must think
the tonfa-like weapon comes out while thinking the fight style that AMU should have...

in the end, we thought that amu should need a more "in fight" style

and well... she most likely become in the sketchboard, the most combo-able character in the game
multy hits and a lot of visual style of all ...

(I just love to make non protagonist characters more stylish )

seems so far thar AMU would be the most heavy animated character off all...
not forget the last boss who is gonna be at least...well
take the size of JUGGERNAUT and SENTINEL from MARVEL fighting games and there you have the size of the final boss...

about CHAM... well, I was thinking to add some minor details in her wardrove... mostly she needs something to make front to close combat situation.. so she will have (need) an extra for making that close combat more "balanced"

as soon SHADOWBLADE gets the pencil test of the sprite animation of yuko, I ask him about a peek about that pencil test...

ok, let's explain a bit this..

starting with this draw concept of YUKO stand



i've started the FAR SLASH motion

well, take a look... you should see that the overall desing is YUKO
without face detail or hair..

watchout about the file size.. is a 1.44 mb gif... I could not crop the rest of scan...sorry..



the motion is, again, a FAR STRONG SLASH
and sure... there are some minor things to fix.. but this is a pencil test to have a complete idea about the feeling about the animation for the characters..

this take me about 2 hours of planning and sketching and tracing on a light box
as you can see, it have hole at the botton of the page.. those are for a correct position of animation secuence...
I think they call it in spanish translated: EXACT REGISTER.. i think

well, again.. showing some progress

well, believe me that I say that it took me about 2 hours make this one ...
maybe is a lot of time...
but I've just started a animation course.... a month has passed and well, I think the odd are really promising
believe me that I think this is gonna be the best method..
and of course..the opening animation and endings are gonna be made in the same way... (i'm counting on you for the rest, evilreiko )

so...well... it may look like this is not gonna end ever... but...have faith...as I regained that I could deliver a nice job for all

Actually, Amu wears two different outfits in Valis 4. The yellow/orange one she wears during the first half of the game, up until Lena gets the Valis Sword. She then wears a greenish outfit after that point, up until you lose her. Here are actual screenshots of her outfits:

Well, Yuko is a goddess now, so it is quite possible she could somehow generate a replica of sorts of the Valis Sword, or a "Memory" if you will. Of course, the replica sword's power might not be as strong as the Valis Sword, but it could have abilities that are unique to it.

Anyways, I'm certainly looking forward to the fighting game. Keep up the good work!

About Amu's outfit, in VC is a modified version of the first oufit from Valis 4 (duh...)

And the Leethus sword is in Kenji's hands... the Yuko's sword is a "memory" of Valis like Keisuke says, but the form of the sword it's a semblance to the sword appears in the anime promo.

as for Kenji, I think he looks pretty good with his bright armor but the colors... are too many

I mean, in usage of colors, a person should use only 2 colors to get his design great, ok maximum of 3 colors. but if we will count Kenji's colors: red, yellow, black, purple, light grey

I've made some quick designs for kenji, here. not necessary to pick one of them, but it's good to try using colors this way

Meanwhile, I finish the fic and the game's final name is Fantasm Soldier Valis V - 美しい戦士 戦かってコロシアムの邪悪な悪王　ところのに！ (Beatiful warrior, fight at the Evil King's Coliseum!) of course, the fic is called simply Valis Coliseum (a bit confused ) made in 13 chapters of 8 pages (according to Microsoft Word 2007 ) each one, obviously, many details from the fic are implemenent on the game (yeah... wait for many cinemas before and after each battle)

and... are you gonna write the story in your site???
or would you prefer to be shown only dring the game???

Actually, I don't really know what do with the fic, for example, the game takes place in the middle of the fic's chapter 3, so I can't put the chapters 1 and 2 in the game, neither the first half of chapter 3.

Well, as you can think, I writted the fic in spanish, maybe in the future I made a english translation.

Finally, I uploaded the renovated site of Valis V, but, unfortunally, the artwork is still the same showed in the previous page (yes... hey you, you! you MUST kill Keisuke Nonohara, you must kill him... KILL HIM!!! )

what do you think of this.. obtaining the powered up Valis sword, while obtains the original valis sword (just a suggestion )
