| Hmmm...looking back at the posts, I'd say regardless of who has the copyright, let's make games, OVAs, etc. The reason is that we can appeal to whoever holds the copyright. Or...well...it seems that the copyright continues to pass from hand-to-hand at times, which means it's probably pretty cheap and easy to get ones' hands on. And just imagine if one of us were to get the copyrights to Valis... >:3 | |

| Shameful that Telnet chose to sell Valis out to hentai just to delay things if they weren't doing so well these past years. Hopefully someone can take Valis and give it new life! | |

I think you mean 1980's. if it was 1880's, Nintendo would be over 100 years old, and there weren't any video games back then. I thought this might be a typo, but then it happened twice...

Nintendo was indeed founded in 1889, they made "Hanafuda" playing cards... They made cards up until 1956, when they tried branching out into other markets, all of them failing. They found their niche in the mid 1960s, making electronic toys like laser guns with sound effects and stuff like that. In 1974 they entered the video game industry by distributing Magnavox' Odyssey, and by 1978 they were making their own arcade games, scoring a hit with Donkey Kong in 1981. And you probably know the rest of the story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo | |
