Finally I finished Yuko and Keisuke compared her with the Rena's sprite:

As far as the sprite art thus far, it looks great!

Can't wait to see atleast a couple of the characters in action, but I'm glad (Keisuke) and Shadow are keeping us posted as far as the game is concerned. Keep it up! ^_^

Well, the Amara's suit it's a semblance to the original Valis II Yuko's 2nd suit, Amara is more like a "Valkyrie top guard" on Castle Vanity and some times in Valhalla too, in the story, she encounters Kenji at the entrance of Castle Vanity, Amara and other two girls (the girls' suits looks like Rena's Resistance suit) thinks Kenji it's a invasor and want to kill Queen Valna... and the girls try to stop him.

Generally, Amara's temperament it's like a true warrior but... like a "good" girl, she's turn red when a man (or in this case, the only young man in this game, Kenji) call her "cute girl".

wait a sec, isn't Kenji's armor and hair is supposed to look like this?



btw, I think each character you're making in Valis Colisuem is really unique and cool, except Amu, which seems (for me) the least unique, specially her dress and weapon (just an opinion, don't bother yourself to much with me )

IMO, amu's magical bird is really unique, and her 2nd suit is really awesome (I just think her 2nd suit is better than the first, does anyone agree/disagree, please rise your hands )

I mean, seriously, look at that green armor, green gloves, and pinky hair, it's really cool!

we come to make AMU in a fighting style like could be pretty fun to make
a more close quarter combat was the final come to her
and because all the characters have sharp weapons, I tough that a single "wand" and a bird was something quite simple..
it was in my mind to add the bird for some attacks.. but..
I wanted to make a really fast paced character.. a lot of hits and very very visual..
in some point.. shadowsblade was to take her out of the roster because she doesn't fit quite well because.. she was dead!

really, in the story she has the least story .. that make me somehow, sad...
I really like what I develope for her to the gameplay..

and with the outfit..
I liked the amorlike one.. but. making straight lines when it comes to making the sprites... the armor in yuko and rena.. those are a pain..
clothes are more easy to animate..

believe.. we have a really brainstorming ideas to make this to have a body to stand..
I really think that the final result gonna be very pleasant...
that is why I wanted to show a full character from now on.. this take time. please, forgive me to being too slow.. this is my very first intent to make a game and sprites...

Yes, the hair is still brown and the armor is red too, only I change the silver edges of the armor to golden, you probably think "Why Amara thinks Kenji is a invasor?" it's simple, Amara don't knows how the humans must look... and this human haves human clothes when he arrives Castle Vanity (How Kenji goes to Vecanti? I not tell you... ) but he grabs the Leethus sword in his hand, so, that's enought for Amara to think he's an enemy and try to kill Valna (or a swords thief, in the worst of case... )

Ok, that pic that looks a bit like a title screen looked just plain awesome.

What made it better was that, as I was looking at it, I was playing the intro song from Fist of the North Star.

True. I'm sure there would be "reasonable" plot contrievences-er-explainations as far as Yuko's, Reiko's, and Amu's return though.

BTW, the new female Amara looks pretty snazzy. She kind of reminds me of one of my original Valis characters that I've came up with (named Megami) though since they are both spear users. However, I'm sure Amara is a lot different from her personality-wise, not to mention Megami has a different outfit.

We're tried to finish the web, showing the seven characters' profiles, but first, I made the web with three languajes options (spanish, english and japanese... this one is an "maybe")

About Amara (Amara = Forever Beauty and Himmel = Heaven) well, she has trained by Cham in Vecanti as a Valhalla's valkyrie guard but, generally Amara prefered to be a Castle Vanity's top guard, Amara's personality is a bit similar to Rena's personality (a female warrior with strong sense of justice) her problem is... when Kenji calls her as "cute girl" or "cute valkyrie" to stunts Amara when she tries to stop him at Castle Vanity entrace (this means, Amara is more "female") at the end, she and the others arrived to the Coliseum in the human world for the las battle.

I think Izard is cool too (despite his *ahem* "portrayal" in the Valis manga. )

But my vote is still for Asufal...if we were taking a vote, that is.

Anyways, to Keisuke and Shadow: I really appreciate the updates, you guys! I know you guys probably have busy lives and all, but I appreciate you guys keeping us up-to-date with all the art and what-not for your project. Once again, keep up the good work, and I'm certainly looking forward to more updates in the future.
