It will be wonderful to see a fan-made Valis fighting game. I can't wait for it. ^^

But i love EVEN MORE Im guessing she's not as popular as the others. Oh well!

VC will counts with some extra stages for Versus and Practice modes, in that stages we'll to include the classics Valis themes from the PC-Engine versions like outside Yuko's school (with his Valis 1 theme of course), the graveyard from Valis 3, obvius with his original theme, "the road to the heaven" from Valis 4, etc.

THANKS! That would make me happy! But take your time. I shouldn't make people like a character based on my love for a char. Im tired When this Project is done(if God Willing) We will have more fans and members. Oh man this is exciting!

It's a color WIP, looks like she missing her sword and I'll work in the clothing...

And this is a resize done by Keisuke, looks like another HD sprite!!

The sprites are good,again like you said the missing sword. Her stance looks like she ought to have a shield but that would be stupid because she's has a two handed sword(claymore,flamberge...i don't know which type of sword she has. I like!

I won't be upset with you by posting art from her... Evil Reiko meant I may die by looking at her... because it is really difficult to find fanart from and I like her soooo much...

New character selection screen, the background is animated and the music is from first stage from Valis The Legend of A Fantasm Soldier (PC-Engine). I'll change the Cham's portraits, but I colored the others first.

Coming another image in-game... but fighting this time.

BTW, I remember you said there will be 8 charcters, but I now i can see only 6 selectable characters or will there be 2 characters that are unlockable

anyway, I'd like to tell you an advice: finish working on the game sprites first, because that's more important. as for character select screen, it's not so important, and it can be done anytime

You're right, the game counts with 6 selectable characters: Rena, Yuko, Reiko, Cham, ?????? and ??????, sorry for the "?????" but is not time for reveal the other two characters. Also we included an special guest as a secret character (selectable too) and the final boss, but he's not selectable.

We have some sprites and will be show in game too, thanks for the advice, I make the game interface (aka screenpack) because is more easy than colored sprites. Anyway, I'll colorized some sprites to show and prgress with the project.

seems that the spriting technick is gonna take another turn

I will gonna try vectorize the draws and rescale them to the correct screen size
we still gonna do a HI DEF stuff, but with a vectorized draws is gonna be more accurated and clean

Breakers i love that game from the Neo Geo. I knew those sprites came from that system.

Well, I discarted the SNk style, so the sprites in Valis will be like Guilty Gear style (we hope...)

Meanwhile, this is an update to the character selection screen, the "?" slots are random select:



Looked at Yuko's sword isn't Valis. and the game shows two "1P" cursors because is the Training mode.

Either way its still sprites at it's highest. Yeah the sword she's weilding(yuko) Yeah i can see i looks like a regular sword...im sure you can fix that.
