| I finished Gurren-Lagann, FLCL and The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya recently.
I also saw the first Rebuild of Evangelion movie, You Are (Not) Alone. It's friggin' awesome!
For those who don't know, Gainax is retelling the Eva series through 4 movies. The first film caps episodes 1-6. It's highly recommended for Eva fans! Go watch it!
I've heard some awesome stuff about DIEBUSTER. Gonna check that out when I have the time. Ridiculous Giant Robot Anime, FTW.
Next on my list is probably gonna be Gantz and Ergo Proxy.
Also: Is anyone here into "abridged" series? There's a team called TeamFourStar doing a DBZ Abridged and it's hysterical. I saw the Gantz Abridged as well. It's quite funny.

| what do you think of FLCL? really nice, isn't it? I didn't watch the others you mentioned, but I guess I should start watching Rebuild of Evangelion I saw the first 4 episodes of Ergo Proxy, the visual effects, sounds effects, and graphics are really good, and the story is not bad. one of my friends said that after episode 10 things become really exciting | |

| FLCL was strange, a good kind of strange. I really enjoyed everything about it: the music, the characters, the dialogue, the animation...everything. I'm starting to think that Gainax is Japanese for "WIN."
The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is an interesting series, but if you can, hit up Wikipedia and get the chronological order for the episodes. I saw it in the non-chronological order and it was just a tad confusing.
Gurren Lagann is amazing. Hit that up. Please.
And, yeah, my friend said the same thing about Ergo Proxy. I saw the first episode some time ago and it peaked my interest. I'm gonna watch the series eventually with friends.
Have you heard of/seen Gantz? The concept is interesting...the bad thing is that I hear mixed things about it. Oh well.

Ergo Proxy is sick.
Cyber City Oedo 808 is an underrated classic.

Cyber City Oedo 808 is an underrated classic. I liked the Sakura Wars OAVs. I've got the TV series box set too (yet too see it, though). Cyber City Oedo 808 is pretty good too. If there is one anime that I would like to see turned into a live-action movie (if done right, that is), it is this one.

| I need to finish up Overman King Gainer (it's by the creator of Gundam with character designs by Kino Nishimura of CAPCOM). If you're a fan of the Gundam, it's highly recommended.
I also need to finish up Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei (absolutely hysterical laugh out loud anime).
A friend of mine keeps telling me to watch xxxHOLIC (it's not what it sounds like, lol). I saw the Tsubasa Chronicle crossover movie at NYAF 07 and didn't really mind it.
I've been buying some Japanese Newtype magazines (it's not released here anymore). From the last I issue I picked up, I found out about this anime called Bakemonogatari; I checked out a few eps and I'm digging it.
I'm gonna check out this other anime called K-on (or something like that); It looks like it's about an all-girl band.

| I bought Black Cat on DVD a few weeks ago and killed it in a few days. Pretty good show.
I started watching Sakura Wars over again (I procrastinate. A lot)
Finally saw Nausicaa. Miyazaki never disappoints.
I bought Summer Wars a few weeks ago and got it in the mail the other day. I thought it was very good. It's being licensed and released here (US) this year; look out for it.
I might watch DIEBUSTER again (I picked it up last year; forgot to mention it)
I also found a store that has some used boxsets in the $25-30 range. Among them was Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water collection 1 ( I have the movie, but hate it;I've wanted to see this series for YEARS), Burst Angel (saw the first ep, seems interesting enough) and Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki (I was a HUGE Tenchi Muyo! fan back in the day)

| Fist of the North Star (TV) for reasons already touched on by just about everyone else.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (TV)- This show is to space opera what Fist of the North Star is to fighting anime, perhaps even more so. 110 episodes with no filler at all, and they even had to cut out the OP and ED sequences of a number of episodes in order to fit everything in. the only disadvantage I can think of is that it requires you to pay fairly close attention to what's going on to get the most out of the series. Notable also for its heavy use of 18th-early 19th century classical music. The whole thing is one big treat.
Martian Successor Nadesico (TV)- This series is a rather fun little romp, and was a great improvement over the original manga. It also has some fairly slick mecha and ship designs.

| The weekend that just passed was NY comicon/Anime fest.
I bought and finished Welcome to the N.H.K. and loved it!
I also picked up Blue Submarine No. 6, Tenchi Muyo the movie 2, Moldiver and a Funimation grab box which had 2 One Piece Boxsets and Tower of Druaga part 1.

| Dunno you guys opinions on yuri anime, but I've gotten quite an obsession over Kannazuki no Miko. Very sad. Great show, but it could have been better if they hadn't taken out some of the backstory/subplot of the manga. Another good yuri is Strawberry Panic. It starts out all sweet and happy then BAM! suddenly depressing storyline.
And those are the last two series I've watched. Derrrr... I don't get out much....
Does anyone understand the ending of Wolfs Rain? It confused me.... Even though its been years ago I first saw it and own half of the series...

I watched Wolf's Rain years ago but at that time, there were only 26 episodes released, now there are 4 more OVAs continuation to the story.. I wonder if you watched them (I didn't )

I also got my hands on the 2nd Rebuild of Evangelion movie, You Can (Not) Advance. It's easily one of the most insane movies I've seen this year.
