| I always wanted to talk about this, now is the time what's your fav animes ever? (it would be Valis animation my fav ever if there was one ) I've watched so many animes, but this is my a list of fav animes: * Neon Genesis Evangelion (number 1 in my list ) * Death Note (this is number 2, if you still didn't watch this, then you must watch it immediately) * Trigun (perfect story) * YuGiOh! (click the title to view to a short video. got to love the action and the stratgeies, specially if you are a YuGiOh player ) * Avenger (well.. this one wasn't that good, buy I used to watch it because the main character looked like Reiko ) * Angel's Egg (got to love it.. my fav type of animes: audience-free-interpretation) * Digimon X - the movie * Digimon the series (only the 1st season, the others are repeating the same story and just silly) * FLCL (a.k.a Fooly Cooly. This one is really damn good) * Ragnarok the animation (I haven't played the game, but I loved the animation so much) * Wolf's Rain (OMG! this anime is unbelievabley amazing!.. talking about its great story) * Akira (it's a movie anime, full of action!) * D.N.Angel* Martin Mystery (I missed no episode of this anime. it's so great, and so funny too) * Dragon Quest* Knights of Earth (click the title to view to a short video. this is the arabic title , I don't know the original title of the anime. internationally, this anime is not famous, but the graphics, the story, and the action are really damn fantastic! i used to watched it and even recorded it because it looks so much like Valis, even the story itself look so much like Valis. You wouldn't believe that in the end of the series, the protagonists are killed by the antagonist!) animations I used to watch when I was kid, and still I love them as the best: * Kabamaru the Ninja (I used to watch this when I was a kid, damn cool! I'd like to watch it once more) * Plawres Sanshiro (you know, I discovered that all people without exception who watched this anime, loved it as one of the best ever) * Annaba's Journey (click the title to view to a short video. again, this is the arabic title, I don't know the original title . it's about a story of a boy and a girl who receive a device that can open time gates. They want to return to their present day but a thief steals the device from them) * Little Maroco (click the title to view to a short video. I don't know the original title, again. this is one of my fav ever. it's about a little chibi girl called Maroco. She always gets troubles and strange situations. for example, in the link video, she suppose to run 50 meters, while her stomch is paining her . I love this anime so much, maybe it's because Maroco look so much like Reiko ) | |

| Project A-ko (the movie) - First Anime I've ever seen! I saw this at age 9 and without this, I wouldn't have gotten into Anime when I did...Contains schoolgirls beating the crap out of one another, Robots, Aliens and all sorts of other whacked out stuff. A classic. Bubblegum Crisis - It's got chicks in robotic suits. Honestly, what else could you ask for? Robot Carnival - A series of short Robot-inspired films done by some of Japan's great creators. One of the stories, A Tale Of 2 Robots, stands out as one of my favorite shorts, ever. I also know it verbatim. Akira - A milestone in animation. Probably one of the most visually twisted films I've ever seen. It also has an amazing soundtrack. Dragon Half - One of the most hilarious anime I've ever seen. Japanese Humor. God, I love it. Gatchaman/ G-force - When other kids in the school yard were saying things like "I'm Batman" I said "I'm Ace Goodheart from G-force." People never knew what I was talking about. Their loss! Vampire Hunter D - Like Project A-ko, I saw this at a very young age, so, it blew me away when I saw D slicing up monsters and blood and guts flying everywhere. I've been hooked since! Devilman - This was just a really good OVA. I used to have it on VHS (like most of my collection...which is gone now). I miss it so. Basically, it's about a teen who uses a Demon's power to stop other demons. Tenchi Muyo! - I used to be obsessed with this. It'll forever hold a place in my heart. Also, the Movie, Tenchi Muyo In Love was great, if not amazing. It's also one of the only shows that I prefer Dubbed. Here are a bunch of others that I don't really want to go into serious detail over: Dragon Ball Z (admit it, you all loved it at one point, lol) Shaman King (I prefer the manga, though...) JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (YES) Lupin The Third - Castle of Cagliostro (Best Lupin movie, ever) BleachHajime No IppoCowboy Bebop (The Dub was better cast than the Japanese version) Outlaw Star (I loved the characters in this) BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad (I related to this soooo much, lol) Excel Saga (LOL) Puni Puni Poemi (LOL) Golden Boy (ROFL) Cromartie High School (Another Dub that I actually prefer over the Sub. Probably the dumbest show, ever, and that's it's charm.) Death Note (Finishing up the manga...) There's more...just let it come to me. | |

| I haven't watched too much anime... so for me is difficult to make comparaisons... in my case: * "Los Caballeros del Zodiaco" - (Saint Seiya in my country) ... simply... the best I've ever seen... (click on the title to hear the opening in spanish, it is recorded with the game for PS2) * Valis - the unofficial animation : the only reason it is not in the first place, it is because it lasted only 2 mins... * Robotech - (Macross in my country): possibly the begining of the anime invasion to my country... * Las Guerreras Magicas - (Magical Knight, Rayearth in my country) : this is an anime for girls... .. but I loved it... click on the title to hear it in spanish... or in here, ... japanese* Digimon - I also like the very first season... and the anime girl I like the most appears in here too…. * Mazinger Z - I used to watch it when I was very little.. I loved it! | |

If anything, I just got up from watching close to 3 1/2 hours of Outlaw Star.
It's so awesome. Especially uncut.
Also, the dub's not half bad.

I haven't read the manga, but I watched the anime. It's so great! also, I suggest you to watch the movie (there are 2 movies) but first, watch the anime before the movie trust me the movie has almost like the anime-story but summerized you can say, from episode1-episode12 this is movie1 and from episode13-episode26 this is movie2 comparing the movie to the anime, in my opinion, the movie is superior

And, I saw an episode of Sayonara Zentsubou Sensei. It's pretty funny...well, I think it's funny.
I also caught and episode of Welcome To The NHK. It's weird, but, the animation is good. I guess it's something that you would need to invest time into. I dunno.
EDIT: I can't believe I never added the Lupin the III movie, Castle Of Cagliostro to my list.
That movie is timeless, one of Hayao Miyazaki's best.
EDIT - Yeah, I did add it. DURRRR.

Ironically, I haven't watched too much anime. =. Though my top three movies are Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma, Grappler Baki, and X/1999. Akira is also a timeless masterpiece, but it gets so much recognition. I'm also staffing a convention this year in my hometown of Omaha that's going down in a month or so. If anyone is interested in showing up, just let me know and I'll get you some info. We'll be screening as much anime as we can cough up...which suffice to say, is going to be a LOT! =D

Curse Of The Undead Yoma was amazing. Personally, to me, it was everything that Ninja Scroll should have been, but, wasn't (I don't like Ninja Scroll. I'm sorry). The Grappler Baki series is pretty ridiculous. Or are you talking about the 45 minute OVA movie thing? Either way, Baki kicks ass.

I haven't yet seen Ninja Scroll, but honestly, any ninja OVA would have to really try hard to trump it. I don't think it's the best ninja movie, but considering when it was made, it should've gotten more praise throughout the community. The soundtrack, to me, is worth almost as much as the movie. If there's anything else I'd kill for other than Yuko, it'd be for THAT soundtrack. And maybe some Daft Punk. As well, I haven't seen any of the Baki the Grappler episodes. I've only watched the OVA and that's the sickest action flick I've seen. In my opinion it trumps DBZ, but only because it has the style of Fist of the North Star and the hardcore action of the former. Fist is beautiful. Baki is amazing. d ^_^ b Though it's really nice to finally meet others who recognize these two perfectly good titles for what they are: underrated masterpieces.

I, too, have seen the Baki the Grappler OAV, but not series. I liked Fist of the North Star better (both the TV and OAV series), though. Anyway, I've seen a lot of anime. I like comedies, Sci-Fi, fantasy, martial arts, thrillers, shojo, and giant mecha flicks. It's really hard for me to pinpoint favorites (although, I'd have to admit, my most favorite anime of all-time is Sailor Moon). Some of my other favorites: Evangelion, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Excel Saga, Pani Poni Dash, Devil Hunter Yohko, Magic Knight Rayearth, Please Save My Earth, GANTZ, Berserk, Record of Lodoss War, The Slayers and Fate Stay/Night. There is a lot of others I like, but I don't want to name them all.
