A valis fighting game?

with shadowblade, we were talking about the dificult level that we should put in VC
we came to this crossroad when he passed me the KOF MEMORIAL MUGEN game

meanwhile downloading the files, I wandered in the various forums that the game was promotioned..
a lot of feedback was posted...but, mostly, complaining 'bout the extreme and stupid dificult AI level of all characters

while mugen is pretty hard to make an accurated gameplay of a know fighter, in this case, KOF. so making accurate hit values and correct combinations, seems ...frustrating when you're were pumelled by a perfect and accurated AI

we came to think pretty hard about the AI lvl of the VC characters
I told Shadowblade about this game should be fun to play, not too easy, but enough to play and want to end the game
and too, about games modes..
the game seems that it gonna have a lot of storyline
I want that, I love games with story developement, so I want VC have quite storyline behinde
well, just that I wanted to share with all of you..


well, going back to spriting....

btw: I asked Shadowblade about a beta release of two characters...
he didn't answer yet

What? I answer that question a looooong time, I say: "I aprobed the idea for a beta release super Kei, but the two characters maybe are..." you remember the last lines, right?

you said there gonna be 8 characters. we know of them 6: + kenshin

2 left: the final boss (which I've already guess, but i wonder how will she look like) + another unknown character

anyway, I don't know what are you planning for VC, but I really recommend to be with them too, even as a 9th character, she's very important character.

Valna don't appears as playable character but she appears in the history and the game scenes too, that's because Vanity Castle is in danger, so Valna's life in danger (but this time, nobody kidnapped the Vecanti's Queen) so, Amu decided to stand in the castle for protect Valna and Rena must go to Valhalla.

Some time has passed since I posted the last image in-game, well, this is an update of the character select screen:



I must do some fixes in the portrait sizes, I know. Maybe I made another video showing this updates in action... with better quality at another one... the first one is very slow...

BTW, you guys have been changing the select-screen alot, instead, why don't you spend more time in the game sprites, I think that would be better

we are working on them, believe me...this is the part of the project that we are mostly away from everywhere hehehe
but, I'm pretty busy making the sprites for the first beta...
this..is really hard...but never give up!

Yeah is the Valis sword from the anime promo, obviuslly in the game this sword isn't Valis.

that's funny! Yuko's new sword look so much like Valis. I thought it's Valis maybe you should reverse them. this new sword is the Valis sword, while the other one is the non-Valis sword

Maybe it has to do with the fact, now wields the Valis Sword...
that was why must use another one...
I'm sure all those details will be explained in the story...

Well, Keisuke is a very appreciate friend, so, I hate when he call me "boss" because we are project partners, not "boss and employee"

I wanted to show this video with many things fixed, but... well, time to go to the university again... so, maybe I'll fix some thing in one weeks or two, this is another test video of the project, now with music from the game self, things for fix:

-Game title (fonts and logo)
-Characters Select (The "?" portraits and Reiko's portrait)

For some reason, I don't have the right codecs on my laptop to view the demo. Would anyone know what codecs I would need to play it right?
